Risk Management

Risk management can be the difference between business failure and success.

Within corporate structures, risk management will be an embedded discipline and a requirement to protect shareholders.

In conjunction with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), we provide two articles which form the basis for future features on Risk Management.  RIBA Insurance Agency (RIBAIA) provide significant assistance to RIBA by way of participating in seminars/conferences at Head Office level and locally through Regional RIBA meetings etc.

Guide to understand Risk Management

A proper understanding of the risks facing a business can make the difference between continuity and failure as well as impacting on the cost of its insurance programme. However, despite this, the majority of businesses have no formalised risk management and control procedures in place.

In order to help members to address this situation RIBA in association with RIBAIA has produced this short guide entitled ‘Understanding Risk Management’ which has been designed to assist members in understanding and managing risk within their businesses.
